Are you an archival metadata, records and information specialist?

The RBA's Information Management division is seeking an energetic and versatile archival metadata and digital transfer specialist to lead the implementation of metadata standards and improved processes for the cataloguing of the Bank’s Archival records. You will establish close working partnerships with your peers and utilise their unique knowledge and skillsets of the Bank’s archival collections, systems, processes and governance to help deliver holistic solutions to support the division’s objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for the ongoing management of metadata and digital image transfer for the Bank’s archival and related collections.
  • Provide specialist advice on compliance with archival standards, policies, systems, memoranda of understanding and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal standards, processes and tools to enhance the searchability and interoperability of the Bank’s archival and other (internal and external) systems (e.g. National Archives of Australia).

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Experience in developing and delivering effective archival metadata programs that support the use of technology and enable access and research activity.
  • Experience and advanced knowledge in metadata management, information management, archive management and related administration.
  • Tertiary qualifications (ideally a degree) with specialisation in information management, archives, history, museum or related studies.
