The Banking Systems team is looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to lead the next phase of the RBA’s Renovation of Banking Applications and Systems (ROBAS) program. This role is part of an energetic and fast moving team that delivers enormous business value to our clients, a key a part of the role is to define business requirements, and work with the development and support groups to develop high level system design, in line with the enterprise architecture.

As the project’s Senior Business Analyst you will work closely with the project team, business and technology stakeholders to help define requirements and develop the processes required to support the new system.  You will work alongside with other projects and BAU team staff. 

Some of the objectives include:

  • Gather information from the business stakeholders to understand their current and potential requirements.
  • Analyse business functions, processes, requirements, problems, and opportunities, seek effective business solutions through improvement of new and changed processes.
  • Work closely with the technical team to identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches.
  • Facilitate scoping and business priority setting for change initiatives.
  • Conduct business processes and data modelling for current and desired scenarios, select appropriate modelling techniques and correct level of detail for meeting assigned objective.
  • Assist in defining acceptance test and usability evaluations; ensure that tests reflect realistic operational business conditions.
  • Write documentation and provide progress reports to management.

To achieve success this role requires a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with significant exposure to IT projects. It is preferred that the person has agile experience.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  •  Advanced knowledge of business process and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, preferably agile.
  • Technical knowledge of programming, database concepts and system design.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies
