Senior Analyst

We have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst to be part of our Finance team to deliver high quality financial reporting. You will be responsible for supporting the operations of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, including Bank executive portfolio reporting, financial management of the Enterprise Master Schedule (EMS) of projects, and support the development of policies in project financial management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and analysis of project and portfolio financial performance for distribution to senior executives
  • Analyse financial reports and provide management information to assist decision making
  • Support the Bank's assessment of new strategic investment through the review of business cases and budgets
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice frameworks for project and financial management across the project life cycle
  • Provide advice on accounting and financial management policies, processes and procedures specific to Project Accounting Framework
  • Support management by proactively seeking opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes and procedures and project management practices
  • Maintain the integrity of project related records in financial information management systems.

 To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or similar discipline.
  • Experience in project or portfolio financial management, coupled with a developed understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies.
  • Experience in analytical reporting for projects from a financial perspective.
  • Some experience in business case preparation and/or review, project resource planning and cost estimation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both in writing and verbally are key.
  • A professional certification in a widely used project management methodology such as PRINCE2 would be highly regarded although not essential.
