The Reserve Bank of Australia pursues national economic policy objectives and undertakes a range of associated activities in financial markets and banking. It also issues Australia's banknotes and operates infrastructure critical to the payments system. Those who are involved in the activities of the Bank have an important role to play in achieving these objectives, whether directly or in a supporting role.

The System Administrator plays an important role within our Information Technology department and is responsible for supporting a standard, stable and robust client platform infrastructure for users in the Bank. This includes the design, build, testing, implementation and support of end user services such as Remote Access (Citrix), Messaging (email), and Mobility services (MDM). Other responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking provisioning, upgrading and performance testing of end user infrastructure.
  • Assist with the collection, reporting and interpretation of performance monitoring data, and related activities such as capacity planning
  • Provide technical support for the effective implementation of end user platforms throughout the Bank.
  • Participate in problem diagnoses, correction and escalated support of server application and End-User platform services.
  • Ensure compliance to corporate change control, security procedures and methodologies.

To be successful in this role you will hold a relevant degree or have proven and extensive experience in a similar role. You will pride yourself on your ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and bring with you knowledge of systems including: Microsoft Exchange and Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp.

You will have an understanding of remote access technologies (including Citrix and MDM solutions) and bring with you your industry accreditations maintained to current levels (ITIL, Microsoft, Citrix). You will have working knowledge of core Windows services – DNS, AD and Group Policy, Virtualisation and experience in a large corporate or enterprise environment.
