Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join the Business Systems team within the Banking Department. You will be responsible for Business Acceptance Testing (BAT)  of the deliverable from the Renovation of Banking Applications and Systems (ROBAS) program prior to implementation into the Business as Usual (BAU) production environment. The role also covers identifying and implementing business process changes, business migrations and implementation strategies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to understand the existing end-to-end business processes and changes required for the proposed development.
  • Plan, schedule and execute testing-related deliverables across various stages of BAT, including the maintenance of test artifacts across all test levels
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports for internal presentation as well as the development of documentation, product and system walk throughs and training needs in consultation with the business.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation and sign-off is achieved with respect to project guidelines.

Our Banking Department provides a range of banking services to the Australian Government and its agencies, overseas central banks, and official institutions. Principal amongst these is management of the Government's core accounts. Also important are transactional banking services, which are provided to some 90 Government agencies on a commercial basis.

To be successful in this role you should have an understanding of core banking, payments & data warehouse systems, services and operations. An aptitude for quickly grasping an understanding of development and enhancement of banking and related systems, including on-line applications is mandatory for this role. You will have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the banking and IT environment from your recent experience.

It would also be highly desirable to have a University degree and experience in analysis and documentation of business requirements, development and testing of applications as part of a business or technical project and experience in managing deliverables into a production environment.
