Senior Project Lead- 6 month FTC

The Project Lead will play an important role undertaking a project related to the automation of a key open market operation process and business case development activities related to a new security initiative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver projects through the facilitation and enablement of cross-functional teams. This activities related to the analysis, design, specification, testing and implementation of business initiatives.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes along with compliance with the Banks technology policies/standards.
  • Facilitating daily stand-up meetings and taking responsibility for sprint planning, release planning and other Agile-related activities
  • Prepare project documentation such as business cases, project briefs, project plans, process maps, requirement documents and regular status reports.
  • Planning, estimating and scoping projects for success.
  • Resource planning and management, identifying and escalating potential problems in advance.
  • Risk identification, mitigation and resolution.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior Project Leads.

What are we looking for?

  • Advanced understanding and implementation of project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proven success in co-ordinating and delivering IT projects within complex organisations (across multiple business units).
  • Demonstrable experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Highly organised with strong planning skills - coordinating, planning and executing activities across concurrent projects.
  • An understanding of banking systems, services and operations is highly desirable.
  • PRINCE2 or PMBOK Accreditation.
  • Strong project management experience with a customer centric mindset.
  • An engaging and influencing style to effect outcomes across all levels within the business.
  • A clear communicator of project health using insight gathered to predict potential risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Experience in business case development.
