Senior Test Analyst

The New Payments Platform (NPP) Program is one of the largest projects undertaken by the Reserve Bank of Australia. As a Senior Test Analyst you will be a key contributor to ensure quality control for NPP deliverables prior to implementation into the business environment. You will be responsible for functional testing and Business Acceptance Testing to ensure that a quality product is implemented into production.  The creation of test cases and their execution as well as liaison with Business Stakeholders are also key objectives of the position.

Your role will be to: 

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to understand the existing end-to-end business processes and changes required for the proposed development.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with the project team and relevant stakeholders to detail all requirements for the various stages of testing, plus business migration and implementation.
  •  Plan, schedule and execute testing-related deliverables, including the maintenance of test artifacts across all test levels 
  •  Assist in a post implementation review of each handover and implementation to capture positive and negative aspects of the task for future reference

About you:

  • A strong Agile mindset and passion for delivering high quality software systems
  • Substantial experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry
  • In-depth hands-on experience in developing test strategies and testing practices/processes across diverse test levels, including non-functional testing
  • Practical experience with testing tools such as HP ALM and JIRA and a willingness to learn new tools as required to facilitate testing.
  • Ability to critically assessing challenges and to develop pragmatic solutions that meet project's key objectives
