The 2020 Graduate Development Program in Accounting and Audit at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is well recognised in industry as an outstanding professional opportunity for emerging talent. The program features mentoring from experienced professionals who are committed to support the development of essential industry skills. The program also expands graduates’ professional breadth and professional networks through rotations and diverse business exposures across Finance and Audit Departments.

You will experience 2 rotations in areas such as management accounting, investment accounting, financial accounting, audit and assurance in a collaborative environment. Accounting graduates in Finance are hands-on with a range of operational, analytical and project-based assignments. Audit graduates work in a variety of project-based teams, adopting an organisation-wide lens to advise on the RBA’s risk and control environment, and to consult on business processes and enterprise projects.Our program also ensures you will interact and partner with the business allowing you to develop into a trusted advisor. 

Under the guidance of experienced staff you will broaden your professional and technical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be presented with opportunities to apply knowledge acquired at university to challenging real-world situations and acquire key transferrable skills. A comprehensive mentoring, training and development program is also offered.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Strong academic achievement on a commerce or business degree including a concentration in accounting, with studies in law or finance an advantage
  • Currently completing final year of studies or with up to two years of relevant industry experience
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency
