Senior PeopleSoft Financials Developer

Our information Technology department are looking for a Senior Developer to provide specialised application development skills for the implementation and support of technology solutions to support Finance Systems. The core of the portfolio is PeopleSoft Financials 9.2, along with budgeting and forecasting tools in IBM Cognos TM1. A key project in the first 12 months involves scoping and leading the transition of on-site Finance applications to the cloud. You will also :

  • Build environments to support the continuous release methodology including creation of image packages, re-application of customisations, update of security technical documentation and targeted unit testing.
  • Work collaboratively with the team's Technical Lead, Senior Functional Analysts and Finance stakeholders as appropriate to identify and validate requirements for application and technical process enhancements, including provision of associated time and effort estimates.
  • Support Production systems via troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.
  • Perform day-to-day monitoring, system administration tasks, management and status reporting of the Bank's Finance systems.

Skills and Experience

  • Technical knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 modules, toolset components e.g. Application Designer, Integration Broker.
  • Software development using PeopleSoft technologies especially PeopleCode, Applications Designer, PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) and Application Engine.
  • Experience with Oracle’s continuous delivery methodology and with software development methodologies such as Test Driven Development.
  • Exposure to collaborating with business stakeholders and project managers to identify project objectives, requirements, scope and timeline estimation.
  • Functional and technical expertise with SaaS cloud platforms.

Knowledge of TransactSQL (views and stored procedures), XML, web services (SOAP and REST), authentication and access control technologies and standards, and Oracle Fluid development (for mobile) would be highly valued.
