Team Administration Assistant - Note Issue

  • Provide administrative support to Reserve Bank Australia’s unique Note Issue Department

  • 12 month fixed term full time contract

RBA’s Note Issue Department is responsible for research into and development of new banknote designs and security features, and the supply of good quality, authentic banknotes to meet the community’s demand.

Within this role you will join as a team assistant to the Banknote Security section of the Note Issue department, providing administrative support in relation to operations around banknote production, strategy and stakeholder engagement.

As part of the team you will:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the section to ensure its efficient operation
  • Monitor and assist with preparation of the section's budget
  • Assist with preparation of periodic reporting including Project and BAU work
  • Assist in contract management processes
  • Assist in supporting the section’s interactions with stakeholder groups including equipment manufacturers, banks and retailers

The successful applicant will have the following skills and capability:

  • Well developed computer/MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Strong administration experience supporting the effective functioning of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks in a systematic manner, delivering timely and accurate output, following established procedures
  • Prior experience gathering and reporting on relevant information in routine documents, and structure short documents so they are clear and easy to follow
