Senior Project Manager - Finance

  • Join RBA’s Financial Markets team with involvement delivering regulatory changes and an external auction platform project
  • Be part of Australia’s Central Bank that serves Australia’s public interest
  • 6 month fixed term full time contract

 

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the Financial Markets team, to deliver regulatory changes work as well as be involved in an external auction platform project.

 

In this role you will manage the delivery of a project to deliver enhanced and additional economic, financial and banking statistical data received from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).  The role may involve running or providing guidance on other projects within the Financial Markets Group (FMG) portfolio in order to meet strategic and operational objectives. Oversee all aspects of project delivery and provide effective leadership to enable success.

 

As part of the team you will:

  • Manage a dedicated team providing project management, business analysis and testing services for the project.
  • Establish best practice processes and ensure compliance with the Bank's Project Management Framework.
  • Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop robust and achievable plans and manage the implementation of quality project deliverables to specification, schedule and budget.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other project/delivery teams, business areas and external parties to ensure interdependencies are identified early and managed successfully.
  • Prepare associated project documentation including business cases, briefs, and test strategies. Prepare project status reports for senior management and the Steering Committee.

 

The successful applicant will have the following skills and capability:

  • Articulate communication skills and strong stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects across the entire life cycle
  • Ability to analyse and interpret business needs, processes and operational problems
  • Prior experience in the finance industry, managing data warehouse related projects

 

Tertiary qualifications, certifications or suitable previous working history in Project Management or related fields (or working towards) is required.
