Solutions Architect Enterprise

The Solution Architect Enterprise provides generalist solution architecture design, through the application of architectural standards, principles and policies and ensure alignment to the Bank’s endorsed standards and strategies.

As part of the team you will:

  • Specify and design end to end solutions considering the architecture for systems, data management, infrastructure, integration, network and security to meet the Bank's business requirements, and to support the strategic change programs undertaken by the Bank.
  • Select appropriate solution design standards, methods and tools, in line with the IT architecture policy and strategy. Review existing system designs to ensure a selection of technology and solution architectures are applied effectively.
  • Take ownership of Architecture deliverables for Conceptual and Solution Architecture documents and ensure that they are agreed and endorsed by all stakeholders.
  • Work with analysts in refining business requirements, and work with subject matter experts (such as infrastructure leads, architects, operators, developers, and business experts) to develop high level designs, in line with the enterprise architecture, patterns and practices. This may occasionally extend to assist with detailed design work.
  • Identify and evaluate alternative options against technology principles, standards and other trade-offs such as cost, performance and scalability.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and capability:

  • Senior solution architect experience across a range of complex solutions and project environments.
  • Understanding of enterprise systems such as HR, Finance, Mobility and IT.
  • Sound understanding of enterprise infrastructure, such as firewalls, load balancers, DNS, LDAP, proxies.
  • Working knowledge of integration architecture patterns using modern web APIs, and File Transfer
  • Experience with migration of applications to Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)

A degree qualification relevant to the Bank or IT industry is required as well as IT accreditations or certifications (such as cloud, integration), TOGAF preferred or currently working towards.
