DevOps Automation Engineer – Contract until December 2020

This role is part of the Corporate Services Group, Information Technology Department. Corporate Services Group is responsible for effective provision of IT function in supporting the Bank's operations and managing the Bank's properties, security and facility services.

We have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated IT Engineer to develop, implement, evaluate/analyse, and automate applications or tools used to accelerate the SDLC pipeline and advance the continuous delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build the automation and configuration of release pipeline at the RBA, including application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, projects and programs
  • Work within established standards and frameworks for a secure Release Management process
  • Use existing tools and where necessary, review new tools and services to help product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production
  • Collaborate with software development project teams and infrastructure service teams supporting them as they setup and build their dev/test environments
  • Highlight risks and resolve issues affecting release scope, schedule and quality
  • Coordinate new application pipelines with Development, Business Units
  • Design and document improvements to automated, integration/build/test/release processes

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • A degree qualification in IT with strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in Release Management role
  • Strong knowledge of Scripting Technologies PowerShell and Linux Shell
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum project delivery methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Build and Release automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, TFS, GIT and Artifactory
  • Previous experience in building automation release configuration pipelines
