 Design, deliver, and maintain physical security systems in Victoria in consultation with key service providers.

The Bank has a diverse property portfolio that supports a wide range of functions and services. Our properties in Craigieburn manufacture, store, and distribute banknotes, a critical function in a high security environment.

Workplace Department is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Craigieburn properties as well other owned and leased premises within Australia. The department delivers these services by providing physical security along with property and engineering management, project management and procurement. Physical security includes guarding, security technology, barriers, policies and procedures, and liaison with emergency services and other government and commercial agencies.

The role of Senior Security Engineer role has been created to design, deliver and maintain security technology and barriers in consultation with external service providers in Craigieburn. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the security and safe operations of a site of national importance and significance.

In this role you will:

  • Monitor performance and undertake maintenance on security and electrical control systems hardware and software to ensure its adequacy, efficiency and integrity.
  • Provide expert security engineering advice and services for the Bank's operations and facilities in Victoria.
  • Identify and specify security requirements, including contract briefs, options analysis and feasibility studies for security systems and facilities.
  • Coordinate and oversee non-Bank professional services providers and contractors to ensure effective delivery and performance (quality, cost-effectiveness and security).

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in contract administration and managing relationships with third-party service providers.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in physical security systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuous improvement processes
  • Strong customer service skills, communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Victorian PSIV Security Licence - Security Adviser and Security Equipment Installer.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer networks and infrastructure for alarm and access control and CCTV systems.
  • The capacity to work on-call as required.

This role requires an Australian Government security clearance. To be eligible to obtain a security clearance Australian citizenship is required.
