Senior Business Analyst

  • Support the Banks’s Enterprise Data Office
  • Assist with the design and implementation of data related initiatives
  • Six month employment contract

We are currently looking for someone with strong business analysis skills, experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders at various levels and a successful track record with large data programs in financial services /government organisations. This is a newly created role within our Enterprise Data Office. You will work closely with the business to understand, gather and document data related requirements for systems and process improvement initiatives.

As part the Enterprise Data Office you will:

  • Understand how data requirements can be met within projects and lead development of appropriate business cases;
  • Support Manager of Data Management, Enterprise Data Architect and Head of Enterprise Data Office to provide guidance and oversight of projects involving data;
  • Deliver ongoing reporting from projects to understand if data requirements are being met and, where needed, lead rectification activities to ensure data requirements are met;
  • Assist with the assessment and improvement of data management activities and best practices across the Bank;
  • Assist with data modelling and development of an enterprise data model;
  • Assist with the design and implementation of metadata related initiatives (business glossary, data catalogue, lineage, tooling);
  • Assist with the design and implementation of data migration and data consolidation initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

  •  The ability to analyse, interpret and document business needs and requirements;
  • Extensive experience in process analysis, process mapping and process improvement initiatives;
  • An understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts and architecture;
  • Demonstrated experience in IT projects and an understanding of systems development lifecycle;
  • An ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
