Senior Network Developer

We have an exciting and challenging opportunities available in our Network Services team.

Our Information Technology department is looking for a Senior Network Developer who will provide expert knowledge in relation to planning, designing, testing and implementing the Bank's software defined infrastructure including network, firewall and F5 application delivery as part of the Network Services team.

In this role you will engage on Business and IT Projects providing network engineering expertise in the areas of data networking, storage networking, application load balancing, firewalls and security, including design, planning, build/implementation and operational handover. You will also:

  • Code infrastructure artefacts to enable deployment of resources & design patterns
  • Develop related operational and support documentation including relevant service support, disaster/business recovery, incident management, capacity planning, systems or network monitoring and operational procedures
  • Provide technical consultancy to peers, project teams and business areas as required to achieve effective design and implementation of network solutions aligned to Bank IT architecture and strategies
  • Identify and action any permanent correct actions (PCAs) that may arise from the project & associated implementation to improve operations & operational support

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in IT coupled with Industry accreditations (ITIL, Cisco, F5)
  • Development or scripting experience with knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages is essential
  • Experience with automation toolsets (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef or VMWare VRA/VRO, etc.) is essential
  • Experience with DevOps principles, tools and frameworks is highly desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure (Cisco routing &switching, F5 LTM and GTM, Cisco FTD Firewalls)
  • Knowledge of software defined network technologies (SDWAN, SD Access, ACI, VMWare NSX)
  • Advanced operational knowledge of networking systems and software
