Venue Coordinator

  • Coordinating the venue operations for RBA’s boutique HC Coombs Centre in Kirribilli
  • Opportunity to work in both a facility and venue management role.
  • Full-time permanent opportunity

We are currently looking for a Venue Coordinator to manage the H.C. Coombs Centre which will encompass  facilities management, events management and the coordination of contractors, both operationally and within the hospitality sector.

This is a unique role for a highly organised individual with great attention to detail, who prides themselves in excellence in customer service, and has an understanding of general coordination of venue operations.

As part of the team you will:

  • Coordinate bookings and process payments utilising the Coombs Centre automated booking system
  • Liaise with customers, such as course organisers, participants, contractors and catering staff, to ensure reasonable needs are met
  • Work with the catering and site support services contractor to provide initial concierge meet and greet to all visitors to the venue
  • Administer and coordinate all site visitation during business hours and after hours
  • Identify manage and mitigate risks inherent in venue ownership and occupation. This may include calling in vendors as appropriate.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and capability:

  • Practical knowledge and experience in booking/events management, property/facilities management/building services operations and financial management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of venue related compliance, including WHS
  • Knowledge of safe handling techniques for the movement of furniture and equipment.
  • Experience in venue management related activities including business development and the management of building services contracts
  • Practical experience in the use of booking management systems and the application of accounting procedures
