The purpose of this position is to manage the delivery of overseas payment services to government agencies, providing registry services on behalf of supranationals and overseeing the Department’s term deposit facility. The position also has responsibility for counter services, including telling and the provision of local banking services to overseas official institutions.

The role preferably requires an individual with previous knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas:

• Formulation of business strategies and objectives to achieve operational outcomes
• Providing support to staff and customers in resolving operational and procedural problems
• Setting of priorities and managing subsequent workflows for teams
• Managing contract arrangements and the application of legal understanding to agreements
• Maintaining and developing procedures, including user manuals and work guides
• Payments procedures or systems
