Do work that makes a difference

The RBA is continuing with its journey to harness the power of data through the implementation of a multi-year data management roadmap. As a data steward, you will play a vital role to embed data management best practices in the RBA.

 

You will work as a liaison among stakeholders to solve data related problems and develop data management capabilities across the Bank. Work with the Data Governance Manager and with the Manager of Data Management to implement and improve policies, systems and processes, ensuring the integrity, accessibility and suitability of information, as well as solutions resilient to changes in technology and operating environments.

 

Your team

The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace (asset management, facilities management, building security, and procurement) and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank’s policy, operational and corporate objectives.

 

The Data Steward role sits within the Enterprise Data Office and will be a key member of the Data Governance team. As part of the team you will contribute to and promote the bank-wide data management policy, guidelines and practices to support the Bank's data management objectives and operations.

 

Your background

To be successful in this critical role you will possess;

  • Experience in data management and governance, including DAMA DMBoK, in the financial services sector.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Exposure and good understanding of big data and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of SQL, R, Python and git is desired, but not essential.
  • Experience in metadata management tools.
