Principal Security Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the best cyber security teams in Australia. This role sits within the Cyber Security Delivery team in Security Services and it has twofold responsibilities. First one focusing around providing technical leadership and guidance/direction to Security Compliance Program. Second one is to enable and enhance the security capabilities of the Security Operations Center (SOC).

You will also:

  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies to enhance the Bank’s infrastructure
  • Have solid experience in delivering complex security controls to meet compliance, regulatory and international standards.
  • Ensure that all operational aspects of information security align with the Bank's security policies, standards and business requirements.


Your team

You will work with the team of incredibly smart people, who are very passionate about information security. The security team consists of 30 people with diverse skills in the security area. It is challenging, fast paced and team oriented environment with a great culture.


Your background

To be successful in this critical role you will possess:

  • Experience specialising in information security management or information risk management.
  • Experience in the development and execution of an ongoing cyber security delivery program.
  • Ability to constantly research/innovate and identify improvements to uplift Bank's security posture.
  • Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems and processes, ensuring the integrity and suitability of information, disciplined documentation and alignment with industry standards.
  • Experience working with SOC team to uplift security capabilities.
