Do work that makes a difference 

We have multiple opportunities for established procurement professionals to join Reserve Bank of Australia’s Procurement function. You will play a key role in influencing the strategic direction of Procurement in the RBA. Your role will involve:

  • Providing reliable, pragmatic advice on procurement policy and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and your knowledge of best market practice;
  • Leading sourcing events for medium to complex procurement activities, guiding and coaching cross function groups to achieve value for money outcomes;
  • Leading strategic supplier and contract management in partnership with the business by leveraging your market intelligence, negotiation skills, attention to detail and customer focus; 
  • Engaging internal stakeholders to define business requirements, utilising you influencing skills and knowledge to challenge the status quo;
  • Analysing business needs with your commercial acumen and develop tender documentation with your expertise in procurement to see them delivered 
  • Developing and implement category strategies using your analytical skills, market intelligence and ability to leverage spend analytics (Microsoft Power BI) 
  • Coaching team members and business leaders using your technical expertise and interpersonal skills

RBA Procurement is a centre of excellence for the organisation. The team is leading a significant change agenda to streamline and improve procurement practices including  policies, procedures, tools and analytics - in partnership with the business.

Your background

We are looking for experienced Procurement Specialists with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who have demonstrable experience in establishing effective relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, external providers & vendors. You will have strong experience in analysis and presentation of data. A degree qualification in law, accounting, business or supply chain teamed with CIPS certification will be highly regarded.
