Do work that makes a difference

We are seeking an individual who has an interest in technology and is looking to develop a career in Market Data.  The Market Data Platforms team provides a specialised technology function for the Dealing Room.  This includes planning, building and supporting dealing platforms such as Refinitiv and Bloomberg.  The team is part of the Financial Market Group’s Business Support Services area who provide a range of project delivery, market data management and operational support services for the Reserve Bank's investment and trading operations.

This is a fast paced, busy and varied role where you will provide specialised support functions for the Financial Markets Group business platforms with a focus on the overall management of market data and dealing room systems.

 As part of this role you will:

  • Provide support for market data systems and dealer phones used within the Bank.  This also includes the Bank's electronic media release and internal publishing systems.
  • Assist in the delivery of technical projects related to market data and dealing room infrastructure, systems and services.
  • Assist in the coordination of changes to the information technology environment platforms with minimal business impact.
  • Assist in the review of business operations and technology solutions for operational efficiency, monitor and research developments in systems and identify improvements.

Your team

You will be working in a small team of market data professionals to deliver a range of solutions.  You will also work closely with IT and Business stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes.  As part of this role, you will also get an opportunity to build a diverse set of technology and business skills

Your background

 To be successful in this critical role you will possess;

  • Developing knowledge or experience of the administration, monitoring and support requirements related to a critical system.
  • Tertiary qualifications in computing or related fields (or working towards).
  • Industry certifications such as MCSE, CCNA or related fields (or working towards) would be highly regarded
  • Ability to analyse/interpret technical documentation, understand business needs and follow defined procedures under guidance.
