IT Project Manager

Do work that makes a difference

In this role you’ll develop robust and achievable project plans to manage the delivery of key strategic technology initiatives which encompass technology capability and process uplift. You’ll be charged with building solid relationships with internal stakeholders (Business and IT) and external data providers to achieve the Bank’s strategic objectives.

We are currently working on a major program to migrate the Bank’s critical datasets from spreadsheets and legacy systems, and refactor and consolidate them on the Bank’s strategic data platforms.

In this role, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Agile delivery teams and program management
  • Lead a team of technical specialists introducing improvements to technology, process and people capabilities while maintaining the Bank’s high levels of security and availability
  • Manage internal and external relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders to successfully deliver change
  • Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure delivery to agreed objective, project benefits, compliance and value for money
  • Identify and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, supporting the team to deliver agreed project outcomes.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, dependencies, risks, issues, exceptions to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams to effectively achieve area outcomes agreed by key stakeholders.

Your background

 To be successful in this critical role you will possess;

  • Strong technology & infrastructure background with understanding of contemporary technology solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and frameworks
  • Sound Financial Control and reporting skills
  • Executive level reporting and steering committee management
  • Experience working in an Agile project delivery team and related framework/methodologies
  • Knowledge of a Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience in Application Development and Infrastructure build
  • Project Management Certification, PRINCE II or equivalent
