Do work that makes a difference

We currently have an opportunity for two experienced Test Leads to work on a highly visible project involving the Bank's treasury management system. The key purpose for the role is to oversee the testing function within the Financial Markets Group (FMG) and support the development and implementation of new systems in line with the business and technical requirements.

You will support a variety of strategic, managerial and day to day testing-related activities aimed at minimising risk while achieving high levels of quality and efficiency for the project's deliverables.

Your team

Financial Markets Group is responsible for implementing the Reserve Bank's operations in domestic and foreign exchange markets, monitoring and analysing developments in financial markets and co-ordinating the Reserve Bank's relationships with international institutions.

Financial Markets Business Support Services area supports the Bank's investment and trading operations in Domestic and International Departments and the Financial Markets Group’s data management activities

Reporting to the Test Manager the Test Lead will ensure testing is thorough, robust and meets quality standards. You will contribute to test estimation, track work against estimates, report variances to team management and ensure that all areas of testing are managed and delivered to a professional standard.

Your background

To be successful in this critical role you will possess;

  • Previous experience working as a Test Lead on large scale IT project projects
  • Strong technical documentation/interpretation skills and proven ability to be analytical and work creatively to solve problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive analytical skills to identity critical integration points, inconsistencies, ambiguity and gaps in functional requirements
  • Expertise with functional testing including system, integration, regression, API,  E2E and UAT
  • Extensive knowledge of test principles and techniques
  • Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile development methodology
  • Previous experience working in Financial Markets or banking would be beneficial
  • Degree in IT, business, finance or other relevant discipline.
