Do work that makes a difference

We are looking for two Senior Analysts to support the Bank achieve its strategic objectives and to influence enterprise changes. The position involves the management, identification, and analysis of risks and controls, and to help implement an effective risk management framework. Experience with one or more of the following: managing and maturing business resilience frameworks and practices; designing, managing and maturing risk and control frameworks and practices; managing risk and controls assessments, and designing and implementing risk training and awareness.You will support with expert advice to the Risk Management Committee.

In this position you will:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of on-going enhancements to the Bank's risk management framework;
  • Monitor and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk and control environment, including emerging risks, risk exposures and monitoring of risk appetite at an enterprise level and for the department;
  • Ensure that requirements of the Bank's business continuity framework are completed in a timely manner, including risks arising during business continuity testing and assessments are analysed and reported to management, and provide support and advice during business continuity events, and 

Maintain the on-going program of monitoring and assessing each area's risk analysis. Provide support, monitoring, and challenge related to the management of strategic and operational risk across the Bank. This includes coordinating activities for the Risk Management Committee and providing high quality input to reports and other reviews.

Your team

Our Risk and Compliance Department supports the Reserve Bank of Australia's framework for managing risk, at the enterprise level and for individual business units across the Bank.

As part of the team you will provide advice and support on issues related to implementing the Risk and Compliance Management Framework and Business Continuity Management Framework..

Your background

 To be successful in this critical role you will possess;

  • Proven experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Desired knowledge of business continuity frameworks and practices.
  • Knowledge of risk management standards and best practices, ideally membership of a Risk Management, Fraud and/or Governance professional body.
  • Experience in analysing data and producing management reports
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management or risk management will be highly regarded
