As a Developer you will provide specialised J2EE development skills for the ongoing maintenance, development of new features and implementation of technology solutions to meet the business requirements for the Bank and to ensure that these are aligned with the Bank's enterprise architecture and IT standards.

This permanent opportunity and is part of a collaborative development team that supports a fundamental part of the Banks Payments and Settlements division that is responsible for $1 Billion in transactions so flexibility to work on-call on a 7 day team rotation will be required.    

Your background 

  • Solid J2EE Development experience and solid skills in Linux, Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Strong skills in Java application server configuration, deployment and management, e.g. Weblogic/Server.
  • Experience to develop new features, ongoing maintenance, bug and feature fixes, front end development and platform changes.
  • Strong browser development skills; HTML, Javascript and XML, J2EE, Struts &Spring Frameworks and Hibernate Mapping.
  • Use of Oracle development tools (e.g. TOAD).
  • Flexible to work a 7 week team rotation for on-call after hours and weekends
  • Financial Services Technology (FinTech) experience is desirable.

As part of the broader Information Technology Department that sits in the Corporate Services Group, you will be part of a collaborative team of 8 application developers that support a fundamental part of the Banks Payments and Settlements division in the Payments Applications team.
