Business and Change Manager

Do work that makes a difference

Opportunity for an experienced Business and Change Manager to simultaneously work on two highly visible multi-year data transformation programs involving delivery of new data management and next generation data analytics platform which is used to analyse nationally critical data in the Australian financial system. The role is a fixed-term salaried contract until December 2025.

You will lead a team of business analysts, data analysts and change specialists to oversee the functional, operational and technical change brought about by the introduction of a new platforms using the Agile (Scrum) methodology.

This includes to enhance and implement project and business change management strategies, frameworks, practices and reporting to ensure effective and efficient management of the Bank's change initiatives.

Your team

Financial Systems Group supports the Reserve Bank’s broad responsibilities for financial system stability and its role in payments system oversight and policy.

You will work closely with cross-functional Scrum teams within the RBA, internal stakeholders and with external entities including market data providers, managed service providers, vendors and regulators.  As part of the team you will manage internal and external relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders to successfully deliver change.

Your background

To be successful in this critical role you will possess:

  • Knowledge of business analysis, change management, release management and project management concepts and practices in large and complex project environments.
  • Experience in managing a team of business analysts, data analysts and Change Management specialists on large scale projects.
  • Experience in overseeing development of requirements and related documentation for new and enhanced systems and business processes.
  • Experience in managing complex and large scale change arising from introduction of new enterprise data warehouse systems and processes.
  • Proven experience in working on large scale Business and IT projects.
  • Proven experience in operating within an Agile project environment and ideally certification in Agile Scrum methodology, Business Analysis and Change Management.
