Do work that makes a difference

The Note Issue Department is responsible for development of new banknote designs and the supply of good quality banknotes to meet the community's demand. This position has both an operational and an analytical focus and plays an integral role in the coordination of banknote distribution.

You will oversee operational functions and maintenance of supporting systems; liaise with commercial banks and monitor compliance with agreements; monitor trends; and implement changes from updates to banknote-related policies in line with evolving conditions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Note Issue senior management with analytical reports on trends in banknote demand and distribution, damaged banknotes claims and other relevant issues.
  • Manage the commercial banks’ and the Bank’s compliance with the Banknote Distribution Agreement (BDA).
  • Manage daily operations and ensure the Bank’s banknote stock holding and transactions are accurately reported.
  • Ensure system development aligns with business requirements and the Bank’s strategic needs.
  • Propose and implement process improvements relating to section’s operational work. Contribute to the review and development of the section’s policies, procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the supervision and development of staff to achieve their objectives and potential.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in a business operations role overseeing service delivery and coordinating functions.
  • Proven experience in handling complex operational issues and ensuring appropriate solutions are implemented.
