Technology is an inherent part of enabling the Reserve Bank of Australia’s policy and operational objectives. With the country depending upon our systems being secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) department, and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with Australia’s most critical core banking and payments platforms.

Your team

Within the Information Technology (IT) department, you will lead a collaborative team of Test Leads and Test Analysts responsible for overall test oversight for multiple business projects as well as BAU deliverables. This includes implementation of ServiceNow and Workday Solutions, Banking systems such as the PayTo, New Payments Platform (NPP) and enterprise modern cloud enabled technology transformations.

Reporting to the Manager, Testing Services and working closely with other Test Team Leads, this is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of a highly collaborative, diverse team with a great supportive culture.

Your background

Senior Test Lead with hands-on experience of managing Testing and QA processes across multiple business projects, who has demonstrated the ability to guide Test Leads on the project deliverables and experienced in working with SI / Vendors to ensure each implementation meets RBA QA standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating Agile Test strategies, reviewing Test Plans and Test Summary Reports, provide Test Estimation for upcoming projects and focussed on adoption of test automation frameworks for the projects assigned to their Portfolio. He/she should be master in modern testing techniques and tools, including automation. Primary focus on providing test management across the portfolio while leading and developing individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.

To be successful in this critical role you will:

  • Demonstrate leadership in providing complex testing support, solutions and service excellence on a cross section of projects and daily services
  • Experience in overseeing SI implementation of ServiceNow, Workday and other solutions like Banking domain and Payment systems
  • Develop test strategies and manage testing priorities across various test levels that including both functional (SIT/UAT/ Sprint testing) and non-functional testing (Performance )
  • Improve test practices and processes, leveraging increased coverage of automation testing
  • Experienced in through understanding of  Test automation Frameworks as well as Performance Testing across projects
  • Experience in selection of new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Demonstrate strong people leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to develop and retain team members and contribute to the culture of IT and the Bank
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence and partner effectively with key stakeholders across the Reserve Bank and externally
  • Good understanding of CI/CD (Azure DevOps preferably) , Test Tools like ALM, Jira, ServiceNow Test Management
  • Relevant degree qualifications
