We are seeking a capable and experienced Product Owner Lead to work on a significant program of work.  Opportunity to work collaboratively across the organisation and be the voice of the customer. Specifically, the Accelerated Data Consolidation Program (ADCP) is a strategic initiative to streamline mission critical data onto the Bank’s BI Platform. 

Reporting to the Program Manager, responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide leadership and take ownership of the business functionality to be delivered across complex or multiple change initiatives
  • Own and manage the Product Backlogs to fit within the agreed schedule, budget and priorities
  • Provide guidance to Scrum teams on product strategy, product-related decisions, key features and capabilities in line with the product vision set by senior stakeholders
  • Own continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish a culture of knowledge sharing to provide a deeper understanding of the requirements, processes, systems and system integration needs
  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the business to achieve its goals while supporting compliance with related legislation, policies and standards.
  • Ensure new system enhancements, changes and upgrades meet business requirements and agreed quality criteria

This role is part of the Corporate Services Group. The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank’s policy, operational and corporate objectives.

Your background


To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, influencing skills and effectiveness in leading multiple Scrum teams or a team of Product Owners.
  • Possess significant experience on complex/large projects or programs taking responsibility to meet required business outcomes
  • Have substantial experience working in Agile teams or leading change initiatives
  • Be an adaptable leader with proven success of driving key business outcomes
  • Be an energetic strategic thinker who has considerable attention to detail
  • Hold relevant degree qualifications or equivalent industry experience
