Senior Lead – Testing Practice / Test Chapter Lead

Your background

Test Manager/Lead with hands-on experience on establishing Testing and QA Practice at enterprise level. Clear understanding of Testing and QA processes for sophisticated projects, who has proven the ability to guide Test Leads on the project results and experienced in working with SI / Vendors to ensure each implementation meets RBA QA standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting SAAS/PAAS and Agile Test strategies, reviewing Test Plans and Test Summary Reports, provide Test Estimation for upcoming projects and focussed on defining non-functional (Performance, Security, Operational) test processes. They should be master in modern testing techniques and latest industry tools.

Your team

Within Reserve Bank of Australia’s Information Technology (IT) department, you will lead a collaborative team of Test Leads and Test Analysts responsible for overall test oversight for multiple business projects as well as BAU results. This role will focus at owning the testing practice as an enterprise initiative.

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Testing Services and working closely with other Test Team Leads, this is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of a highly collaborative, diverse team with a phenomenal encouraging culture.

To be successful in this critical role you will:

  • Experience in uplifting the Testing Practice across enterprise
  • Experience in providing Quality Assurance guidelines for Solution Implementers (SI) for program of work
  • Demonstrate leadership in providing sophisticated testing support, solutions and service excellence on a cross section of projects and daily services
  • Develop PAAS/ SAAS and Agile test strategies and lead testing priorities across various test levels that including both functional (SIT/UAT/ Sprint testing) and non-functional testing (Performance)
  • Experienced in through understanding of Test automation Frameworks as well as Performance Testing across projects
  • Experience in understanding of Test Automation tools, techniques and methodologies needed to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Demonstrate strong people leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to develop and retain team members and contribute to the culture of IT and the Bank
  • Exceptional social skills to collaborate, influence and partner optimally with key team members across the Reserve Bank and externally
  • Good understanding of CI/CD (Azure DevOps preferably), Test Tools like ALM, Jira, ServiceNow Test Management
