Currency Officer

More flexibility, less one-size-fits-all

Work in the Note Issue Department where they are responsible for research into and development of new banknote designs and security features, and the supply of good quality/authentic banknotes to meet the community's demand.

This is a 15-month fixed contract.

You’ll be involved in a variety of activities including:

  • Perform administrative and task focus work supporting the Bank’s banknote distribution, including data management.
  • Work within the team responsible for the management and storage of banknotes.
  • Coordinate, or participate in, the planning and assignment of work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment.
  • Maintain the safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, and adherence to the Bank's work health and safety processes.
  • Be required travel interstate infrequently as required.

Your background

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Being a hands-on team player.
  • Experience with standard office software with high attention to detail.
  • Ideally have experience and knowledge of warehousing administration.
  • Experience in writing procedural and/or technical documents.
  • Powered pallet mover experience is desirable.

About the team

As part of a collaborative team, you will support banknote distribution, sampling, storage and control arrangements, minimising risk in respect of these arrangements, and ensure that the Bank remains compliant with the Banknote Distribution Agreement. The role will require you to be adaptive, responsive, diligent and organised.
