Opportunity for an experienced Technical Project Manager to work on a high-profile IT program delivering multiple benefits via technology simplification initiatives that aims for automation, optimisation, rationalisation and standardisation of most core infrastructure components (server, network, monitoring, automation and orchestration hardware/software/tools) across the Banks’ data centres.

A primary objective of the role will be to lead and deliver projects/sub-streams within this large program of work that focuses on server infrastructure optimisation/consolidation, monitoring strategy and tools rationalisation and related operational changes to achieve specific organisational strategies and business benefits.

Your background

  • Demonstrated (5+ years’) experience as a Technical Project Manager, managing large IT infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Sound knowledge of IT server and network infrastructure, devices and monitoring tools. Good understanding of modern infrastructure solutions and experience with infrastructure simplification/rationalisation, monitoring tools rationalisation and infrastructure/process automation:
    • Delivered projects with VMWare technology ecosystem (ideally extending to SDDC), Cisco UCS, Puppet, vRealize, DataDog, New Relic, Azure Monitor, AppDynamics, ELK, IPAM, CPO, SDA technologies, SDWAN
    • Knowledge and/or delivery experience in VMware/vROps/vRealise, Linux, Windows, Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/IP, Satellite 6, Service Now, SharePoint and 365 SPOL
    • Preferably worked in a DevOps environment or have a very good understanding of the same.
  • Experience in evaluating options for infrastructure replacement, develop plans and business case for implementations, including experience with SaaS products and operating model.
  • Experience in managing vendors, associated contracts and relationships.
  • Facilitate procurement activities with both functional and non-functional evaluations.
  • Project Management Certification, PRINCE II or equivalent.

In this role you will report to a Program/Portfolio Manager and work closely with IT, business and/or business engagement teams to facilitate outcomes and deliver business benefits to meet the current and future needs of the Bank.
