The key objective of the role is to support the deployment of software updates and patches to protect the Banks assets of both Windows and Redhat platforms. Help to lead delivery of software and patch updates while learning automation and scripting capabilities across both Windows and Redhat platforms. Other key tasks will include:
- Manage the service delivery, support and proactive maintenance of Bank’s IT Infrastructure services and processes.
- Contribute towards maximising the availability and cyber protections of IT Infrastructure systems by enhancing resilience and recovery capabilities to minimising the impact of incidents.

- Deliver the required documentation, reporting and data collection for asset management, audit, standard operations and proactive management of the Bank's end-to-end IT infrastructure services and processes.
- Continuously improve systems to enhance the user experience, operate efficiently and cost effectively, including maximising automation and orchestration of implementation and ongoing operations
Your team
Be part of a team that supports each other and demonstrate growth mindsets. This role is part of the Corporate Services Group, Information Technology Department. The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace (asset management, facilities management, building security, and procurement) and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank’s policy, operational and corporate objectives. Information Technology Department - responsible for transforming and developing the core IT functions that support the Reserve Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives. This role supports Work from Home and may require to work from Sydney as well as our BRS location in Bella Vista on occasion.
Your background
To be successful in this critical role you will possess;
- Understanding of Windows Operating Systems (2012R2, 2016 and 2019) and RHEL (RHEL7 and RHEL8) or other Linux distributions. Experience of Linux systems administration/ automation preferred.
- Interest in Cyber Security especially on vulnerability management.
- Demonstrated IT experience in a service delivery or system administration role.
- Experience of automation of system administrative tasks especially on software updates.
- Be proactive in taking initiatives to automate manual tasks.
- Willingness to maintain, or undertaken provided training to acquire, IT and industry related certifications as products are updated/released.
